RIVERSIDE ZOO'S LOCAL AAZK CHAPTER
(American Association of Zookeepers)
A nation-wide group created to promote professionalism throughout the
overall animal care field through education and communication. This
helps ensure zoos can take the absolute best care of their animals with all
the knowledge and techniques available. Because the staff at Riverside
Zoo cares deeply for our animals, this local chapter was formed in August of
2006. The group sells temporary tattoos during the zoo's annual
Halloween Spooktacular and partners with area businesses to sponsor "Jingle
Paws", an enrichment drive during the holiday season when local citizens can
donate enrichment items for the animals. To find out about future
