UPCOMING EVENTS
PARTY FOR THE PLANET!
Riverside Zoo, in conjunction with KNEB Radio, will host PARTY FOR THE
PLANET
on April 19th from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
This event celebrates Earth Day,
Arbor Day and
International Migratory Bird Day.
Party for the Planet promotes awareness about precycling, recycling,
reducing and reusing every day products as well as what can be done to
take better care of our planet.
There will also be a focus on the important role trees play in our
environment.
In addition, guests will learn more about migratory birds
and the role we all play in helping them survive and thrive.
There will be fun activities for children and families
and great hand-outs for guests to take home.
Representatives from environmental organizations such as the
Audubon Society and Prairie Partners will be present to visit
with guests.
The zoo will also be serving hot-dogs, chips and pop for just $2.00 per
person.
There will be coloring pages and crafts for children from 11:00am through
noon.
Zoo volunteers and staff will be on hand with education animals
and at educational interpretive stations throughout the zoo.
Regular admission applies or guests can use their membership cards.
